Specifying in B the Influence/Reaction Model to Study Situated MAS Application to vehicles platooning

چکیده
This paper addresses the formal specification and verification of situated Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) that can be formulated within the Influence/Reaction model as proposed in 1996 by Ferber & Muller. In this model, our objective is to prove the correctness of reactive MAS with respect to a certain formal specification or property, using formal methods. This is an important step to bring MAS to high quality standards as required for critical applications encountered in domains such as transport systems. A generic B representation of systems instantiating the Influence/Reaction model is proposed, using patterns of specification. We illustrate our approach with a MAS to control unmanned land vehicles to form a platoon. The papers ends with considerations about further improvements of the framework, involving simulation and study of the properties of the system.

متن کاملArchitectural design of a situated multiagent system for controlling automatic guided vehicles
Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) are fully automated vehicles that are able to transport goods in an industrial environment. To cope with new and future system requirements such as flexibility and openness, we have applied a situated Multiagent System (MAS) to develop a decentralised control architecture for AGV transportation systems. In this paper, we give an overview of the software architec...
متن کاملFrom Reactive Multi-agents Models to Cellular Automata
This paper deals with the synchronous implementation of situated Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) in order to have no execution bias and to allow their programming on massively parallel computing devices. For this purpose we investigate the translation of discrete MAS into Cellular Automata (CA). Contrarily to the sequential scheduling generally used in MAS simulations, CA is a model for massively par...
متن کاملPlatoon Control Using VLC: A Feasibility Study
The major benefits of driving vehicles in controlled close formations such as platoons are that of increasing traffic fluidity and reducing air pollution. While vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications is requisite for platooning stability, the existing radio communications technologies (e.g., the IEEE 802.11p) suffer from poor performance in highly dense road scenarios, which are exactly to be ...

This paper deals with the synchronous implementation of situated Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) in order to have no execution bias and to ease their programming on massively parallel computing devices. For this purpose we investigate the translation of discrete MAS into Cellular Automata (CA). Contrarily to the sequential scheduling generally used in MAS simulations, CA are a model for massively par...
